Lebenslauf Roshan Prakash Rane
Roshan Rane is currently a Research Associate and a Ph.D. student at the "Machine Learning in Clinical Neuroimaging" group.
He received his bachelor's degree in engineering in 2014 from Bangalore Institute of Technology, India, and completed his master's in Cognitive Systems from Universität Potsdam in 2020. In his master's, his research focus was deep learning, computer vision, and cognitive modeling. Apart from his research experiences (see publications link below), he also has substantial industrial experience. After his bachelor's, he worked as an embedded software engineer for three years at Robert Bosch, India. During his master's, he also worked as a research assistant in this lab where he worked closely with brain MRI analysis and later on worked as a Machine Learning Specialist at an autonomous driving startup in Berlin for a year.
His current research in this lab involves developing deep learning methods for analyzing brain MRI of subjects with psychiatric disorders like drug addiction and drawing reliable conclusions. He is also interested in designing AI-based tools to assist in the diagnosis of Psychiatric disorders.
