Division of Neuropsychology and Psychopathology across the lifespan
Since 2010 this section has comprised different research teams including "Neuropsychology and Experimental Psychopathology", "Phenomenology of Chronic Psychic Disorders" and "Gerontopsychiatry".
We focus on the neuroscientific correlates of psychopathology throughout the span of life. The methodological spectrum includes behavioral and biological approaches, such as Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), Electroencephalography (EEG), and Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS).
Main research interests are:
· Neurobiological and neurocognitive models of different symptoms, such as delusion and hallucination
· How does aging affect neurobiology and psychopathology?
· Neurobiological correlates of aging and learning in subjects suffering from psychiatric diseases
· Healthcare research on old people with affective and neurodegenerative diseases
