The research groups at the Department of Psychiatry and Neurosciences (CCM) including the Charité site of the St. Hedwig Hospital are currently organised into nine research divisions. This organisation is primarily pragmatic and serves the purpose of a quick orientation and presentation of focal points. However, there are numerous overlaps in content between the divisions (e.g. depression research also in other research areas), personnel interconnections (researchers in several research groups) and also research on other topics and diseases in the working groups that are not explicitly mentioned in the names of the divisions (e.g. dementia, psychotraumatology, brain stimulation, environmental research, artificial intelligence).
