Prof. Dr. Nina Romanczuk-Seiferth is a clinical psychologist, psychotherapist and neuroscientist. She works as a professor for 'Neurobiology of the Mind & Neuropsychotherapy' and as head psychologist at the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy of the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Germany. Her research group "Emotional Neuroscience" focuses on the neurobiological correlates of emotion and motivation in mental illness as well as its implications for psychotherapy. One focus of her research are behavioral addictions and related neurobiological alterations. Further, she works on innovative treatment approaches including neurobiologically informed psychotherapy, online-interventions for specific patient groups as well as equine-assisted psychotherapy. Beside her research activities and her work as psychotherapist and clinical supervisor, Nina Romanczuk-Seiferth is also an academic lecturer and instructor in her professional field. She published and edited several scientific articles, book chapters and books on her research as well as on her clinical field of expertise.
