Eva Brandl is a senior psychiatrist leading the center for geriatric psychiatry at the Psychiatric University Hospital of Charité at St. Hedwig-Hospital. After her dissertation (Dr.med.) on genetic impact on antipsychotic-induced weight gain at Charité she was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Canada. After returning to Germany, she was a fellow in the clinician scientist program of Berlin Institute of Health. Her main research focus is on pharmacogenetics as well as geriatric psychiatry. She also conducts projects in transcultural psychiatry and on treatment of mental disorders in the peripartum period. She is leading the working group Geriatric psychiatry and psychotherapy and is author of multiple scientific articles.
