Vita Dr. med. Stefan Gutwinski
Stefan Gutwinski studied Medicine at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen with internships in London, Tilcara (Argentina) and Wexford (Ireland). He completed his doctoral thesis about relapse of patients with schizophrenia in 2008. He gained a Max-Planck scholarship of the Göttingen Research Association for Schizophrenia.
Afterwards he performed his practical neurological training at the Jewish Hospital Berlin. In 2009, he began his psychiatric training at the Psychiatric University Hospital of the Charité in the St. Hedwig Hospital. In 2010 he received a postdoc scholarship of the Center for Integrative Life Sciences at the Humboldt University of Berlin and in 2011 scholarship of the Berlin School of Mind and Brain.
In 2015, he founded together with Dr. Tomislav Majic the research group Psychotropic Substances at the Charité.
Since 2015 he is consultant doctor of the Day-Clinic and Outpatient-Clinic Wedding.
He received the Hedwig Price for outstanding clinical effort for homeless psychiatric patients in 2016.
In 2018, he represented the German Association of Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics as an expert for cannabis at the German Bundestag.
