Department of Psychiatry and Neurosciences

The Department of Psychiatry and Neurosciences at Campus Charité Mitte offers a number of different therapeutic approaches to psychiatric disorders. The treatment is tailored to our individual patients’ needs.

The department comprises two sites:

Department of Psychiatry and Neurosciences, Campus Charité Mitte
Psychiatric University Hospital Charité at St. Hedwig Hospital

The chair of Psychiatry, Prof. Dr. Dr. A. Heinz, is director of both sites. Prof. Dr. F. Bermpohl is head of the Psychiatric University Hospital Charité at St. Hedwig Hospital. Both sites offer psychiatric treatment in outpatient and inpatient settings. Our outpatient department offers a number of specialized clinics.

The department also houses a large research section that comprises nine research divisions.
